Abstract: This article presents major differences and similarities related to sustainability in tourism development or the Northern and Southern coastal provinces of Vietnam. The research process results pointed out that sustainable tourism development in the coastal provinces had brought about positive benefits to the national and local economy, local community and government, local community and natural environment, and socio-cultural development. Although sustainable tourism development principles are beneficial, their implementation into real-life an enormously is to the specific socio-economic and environmental context, political conditions and institutional conditions, is different in Vietnam. This article tracks how sustainable tourism development is perceived and implemented in the Northern and Southern coastal provinces’ main tourism hubs, reflecting the gaps between planning and its implementation towards that end in different localities. On that basis, we propose standard solutions but other implementations for ecotourism and cultural tourism development across entire coastal area Vietnam as the overarching ways of reaching sustainability.

AIIB as a Strategic Counterbalance for Western Financial Institutions
Tạp chí quốc tế
JOURNAL OF CRITICAL REVIEWS
ISSN- 2394-5125
Tác giả chính
Abstract: The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a new international financial institution set up in 2015 with the goal of supporting the construction of infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) were formed together in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire in July 1944. Both are set up to support the world economy, although each has different roles. The role of the International Monetary Fund is to protect the monetary system. Meanwhile, the World Bank plays a role in economic development. Although the size and potential of the AIIB is smaller, it is not so different from the IMF and the WB. Thus, the AIIB is considered a competitor of the IMF and WB and will bring challenges to the existence of the Bretton Woods system with the two leading WB and IMF financial institutions. In addition, according to expert opinion, the AIIB does not have austerity policies such as IMF, so the AIIB will quickly take over many sectors in the economy outside Asia as well as Europe, especially Eastern Europe. This will alleviate the importance, scale and potential of the two largest financial institutions in the world, the IMF and WB.

Dispatching the problems in implementing mobile payment services from consumer attitude perspective
Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
ISSN: 2502-4752
Tác giả chính
Abstract: Due to the abundance of internet and E-commerce (Electronic commerce), an exces- sive amount of data has been generated causing an overload of information to the current network infrastructure. As an attempt to solve this problem, there is a shift to mobile payment in the field of E-commerce. Thus, it is essential to study the adoption level of such service for global markets in general and the Vietnamese market in spe- cific. In this paper, we study the consumers’ attitude toward mobile payment, investi- gated with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) from three perspectives, namely the consumer innovativeness, perceived benefit, and perceived risk. Accordingly, there are six hypotheses proposed to study the consumers’ attitude toward the service. Thanks to the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, a population of 250 Vietnamese mo- bile payment users was analyzed to confirm five out of the six hypotheses. It is drawn that the attitude toward the service is correlated positively with the innovativeness and the perceived benefit, while correlated negatively with the perceived risk. Besides, the resulted model can elucidate approximately 49% the consumers’ intention to reuse the mobile payment service.

Outage Probability Analysis for Hybrid TSR-PSR Based SWIPT Systems over Log-normal Fading Channels
International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE)
ISSN: 2088-8708
Tác giả chính
Abstract: Employing simultaneous information and power transfer (SWIPT) technology in cooperative relaying networks has drawn considerable attention from the research community. We can find several studies that focus on Rayleigh and Nakagami-m fading channels, which are used to model outdoor scenarios. Differing itself from several existing studies, this study is conducted in the context of indoor scenario modelled by log-normal fading channels. Specifically, we investigate a so-called hybrid time switching relaying (TSR) – power splitting relaying (PSR) protocol in an energy-constrained cooperative amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying network. We evaluate the system performance with outage probability (OP) by analytically expressing and simulating it with Monte Carlo method. The impact of power-splitting (PS), time-switching (TS) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on the OP was as well investigated. Subsequently, the system performance of TSR, PSR and hybrid TSR-PSR schemes were compared. The simulation results are relatively accurate because they align well with the theory.

Outage Performance Analysis of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access systems with RF energy harvesting
International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE)
ISSN: 2088-8708
Tác giả chính
Abstract: Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has drawn enormous attention from the research community as a promising technology for future wireless communications with increasing demands of capacity and throughput. Especially, in the light of fifth-generation (5G) communication where multiple Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices are connected, the application of NOMA to indoor wireless networks has become more interesting to study. In view of this, we investigate the NOMA technique in energy harvesting (EH) half-duplex (HD) decode-and-forward (DF) power-splitting relaying (PSR) networks over indoor scenarios which are characterized by log-normal fading channels. The system performance of such networks is evaluated in terms of outage probability ( OP ) and total throughput for delay-limited transmission mode whose expressions are derived herein. In general, we can see in details how different system parameters affect such networks thanks to the results from Monte Carlo simulations. For illustrating the accuracy of our analytical results, we plot them along with the theoretical ones for comparison.

Palmprint Recognition Using Discriminant Local Line Directional Representation
Hội nghị
Tác giả chính
Abstract: Palmprint is a new biometric feature for personal identification with a high degree of privacy and security. In this paper, we propose the palmprint feature extraction method which combines the direction-based method (Local line direc- tion pattern) and learning-based method (two-directional two-dimensional linear discriminant analysis ((2D)2LDA)) to get the high discriminant direction based features, so-called Discriminant local line Directional Representation (DLLDR). First, the algorithm computes the LLDP features with two strategies of encod- ing multi-directions. Then, (2D)2LDA is applied to extract DLLDR features with higher discriminant and lower-dimensional from the LLDP matrix. The exper- imental results on the public databases of Hong Kong Polytechnic University demonstrate that our method is effective for palmprint recognition.
