KAINAN UNIVERSITY, TAIWAN
Kainan University (KNU; Chinese:开南大学) is a private university in Taiwan, located near Taoyuan International Airport. KNU was founded as Kainan Technical and Commercial High School in 1917. In January 1990, the school was upgraded to Kainan Institute of Technology. Finally in April 2006, the school became Kainan University.
KNU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in many fields, including business, communications, design, law and hospitality. The school also has a Chinese Language Center that offers Chinese language courses for international students.
In the 2023 World University Rankings, KNU is ranked 4245 worldwide, 76 in Taiwan. In the field of Computer Science, KNU is ranked 61 in Taiwan and 2572 in the world with 1,070 publications and 21,847 citations. In the field of Engineering, KNU is ranked 65 in Taiwan and 2914 in the world with 1,032 publications and 22,733 citations.
